Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Dublin Food Co-op. Dublin Food Co-op offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. All material on this website is copyright of Dublin Food Co-op and may not be reproduced without permission.

These are the terms and conditions (the “Terms”) which will apply to your purchase of products (“Products”) and application for membership (“Membership”) from our website at www.dublinfood.coop (the “Website”). These Terms form the basis of a legally binding contract between Dublin Food Co-op and you, and apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content. Please read the Terms carefully before accepting them and buying anything from the Website. If you need to reach us about these Terms or any other matter, please email us on online@dublinfood.coop.

We reserve the right to change the Terms under which the Website, Products and Membership are provided. Any such change will be effective to all new orders once included in the text of these Terms and published on the website. You should check the Terms posted on this Website periodically to ensure that you are aware of and comply with the current version.

Accuracy, completeness and timeliness of information 

The Website and the information on it, has been produced with the best interests of customers in mind. However, the information contained on our Website information and product pages may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors, for which we accept no liability. We will try and make sure that all information on the Website including organisation updates, description of the Products and listed prices are accurate and correct at all times. We will try to resolve all information errors on the Website as soon as reasonably possible.

Separate notices and disclaimers apply to your use of the Website. By accepting these Terms you also agree to the notices and disclaimers that are set out elsewhere on the Website.

This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

Products and pricing

All descriptions of Products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue online Membership sign-up or Products (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

All prices are displayed in Euros and include VAT at the applicable rate. If you are purchasing with a non-euro credit card the exchange rate shown on your statement is set by your card provider and not by Dublin Food Co-op. 

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the online service.

Placing orders online

Orders can be made online at times that are convenient to you and collection slots selected depending on availability. Dublin Food Co-op reserves the right to refuse to sell or supply goods to any person or company for any reason. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You make an offer to purchase product(s) from Dublin Food Co-op (your “Order”) by completing the ordering process on the Website. Your Order only constitutes an offer to purchase goods and does not form a binding contract until accepted by Dublin Food Co-op. On receipt of your Order we will send an order acknowledgement to the email address you provided during the ordering process.

When payment for goods has been processed and your order is available for collection, we will send a confirmation email of such and the sending of that email makes the contract between Dublin Food Co-op and you. If a product is not available we will email you details and you will be refunded for any product that is not available. An order is accepted by Dublin Food Co-op only when payment in full has been processed and received and the Products have been made available for collection.

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website or in our shop. These products or services may have limitations and are subject to cancellation, return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

Discounts and promotions 

Discounts codes for members, volunteers or staff may not be shared or used by unintended individuals. Dublin Food Co-op reserves the right to cancel any Order using a discount code by a party not eligible for the discount.

Online offers and promotions are generally not available in our shop unless otherwise indicated. Shop offers and promotions are not generally available online unless otherwise indicated. 

Credit Card Security

All transactions are processed by Stripe. Click here for more information. All transactions are highly encrypted and your card details are never passed on to Dublin Food Co-op or any other party.

Account

You are responsible for ensuring that your login, password and all other details in relation to your account are correct and remain confidential at all times.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and phone number, so that we can contact you as needed.

Collecting orders

Orders must be collected at the designated time. Orders not collected during this time may be returned to the shelf and the purchase price returned to the payment card used at the time of purchase without any further notice to you.

Cancelling your order

If you wish to cancel your order, please do so as soon as possible by contacting online@dublinfood.coop. You can no longer cancel your order once you have collected the items. Dublin Food Co-op will refund the purchase price to the payment card used at the time of purchase. Nothing under these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if we have insufficient stock to supply the goods you have ordered; or if one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.

User comments, reviews and other other submissions

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example survey responses) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.

We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.

You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website.
