Dublin Food Coop & ICOS – Community Development Programme 2019/2020
We are delighted to announce the Dublin Food Coop and ICOS Community Development Programme.
This programme will include workshops, courses, talks and field trips in which attendees will learn about cooperation, community, permaculture and sustainability.
The full module parts of the course are:-

- Zero Waste Cooking – Sustainability at home – Rozanne Stevens
- Co-operative Studies – Patrick Doyle Society for Co-operative Studies in Ireland
- Start your Own Co-op – Darragh Walshe Irish Co-operative Organisations Society
- Do it Yourself Herbs & Balms – Maggie Ní Caoimh Dublin Herb Bike
- Permaculture – Aaron Jewell Permascape
We will have a series of guest speakers with backgrounds in Cooperatives, Community Organising, Sustainability and Environmental issues doing additional talks that run alongside the modules.
The events as part of the Dublin Food Co-Op & ICOS programme will include trips to other Co-ops and a Film Screening and Tour in Rediscovery Centre and a Co-op Christmas Party too!
The full programme runs from October 2019 until May 2020 and attendees to the course will receive a ICOS Skillsnet accreditation on completing the course. Read the full programme in the link below
The course will take place at the Inchicore Social Club, Riggers Cafe D8 & the ICOS Headquarters – Plunkett House in the City Centre
The overall price for the Dublin Food Co-Op & ICOS course will vary dependant on your personal situation. We do want to make it as accessible as possible. If you are interested in the course and want to know more please contact us on email@example.com
We will be offering free first year of Co-op membership for non-members that attend our Community Development Course. We want to the local community to be apart of our Co-op community and feel that this programme is a way to reach out beyond our membership.
We are running this course in collaboration with ICOS (Irish Cooperative Organisation Society).
