The Irish co-op movement promoted economic democracy against the backdrop of sweeping political change that led to independence. It’s exactly this striving for economic democracy that leads the co-operative movement to continue to play a significant role in Ireland, this discussion with Patrick Doyle, in association with Co-operative Housing Ireland, will cover the early stages of the Irish co-operative movement all the way through to recent times and developments.
