Dear Member

We hope you’ve been enjoying the great seasonal produce that’s been available at the Co-op this July! If you haven’t yet, don’t worry, as August is the best time for seasonal Irish fruits and vegetables.

Aoife talks about our second abundant and eventful Street Feast, with a special mention of Tim Cookson, our long time staff member’s, last weekend at the Co-op.

Aaron, staff member and permaculture enthusiast, takes a look at the Co-op’s continuing support of Irish Seed Savers, stocking the widest variety of their seeds on the east coast. He also highlights a related competition the Co-op for members!

We are currently still on the lookout for a more permanent office space. Seeing as the Co-op has such diverse members whom are involved in different projects and communities – we thought it a good idea to reach out and see if any of you had any helpful suggestions?

Another of our members, Patrick Doyle, is launching his book  The Co-operative Movement, Development and the Nation-State, 1889-1939 this evening 26th July at the Irish Co-op Organisation Society’s HQ in Dublin and welcomes all to attend an insightful look at the early history of Irish Co-ops.

Finally the Co-op will be open throughout the month of August with a full range of organic fresh fruit and vegetables in addition to our full dry goods range. <- come down and check out the new layout and shop front

In Co-operation,

Your Co-op Communications Team
